Petra's Healing Journey

Using alternative treatments to treat DCIS

Big Guns – Blog Post 13 🌸

So I think I’ve got Covid. Been floored all week with a virus 🦠

During the festival it’s utterly heaving with tourists at work, and nearly everyone has had this bug. It’s the same at the Christmas market. So many germs flying around, it very hard to avoid catching it at some point.

Pretty pissed off considering how healthy I feel and how methylene blue is supposed to be antiviral, but when I looked further into the breast cancer studies they did, they were taking a much higher dose than I am.

So I’ve decided to double my dose (gradually). In for a penny in for a pound. I’ve never been one for doing things by half measures and this is definitely not the time to start!

Methylene blue is intense stuff, it tastes awful. It dyes anything it comes into contact with a magnificent shade of deep blue, which is impossible to get off surfaces, it’s stains my teeth and tongue blue, and my pee (or green depending on how much fluid is going thru my system), which is fine, it makes a nice change, but it does stain your pants and it does stain the toilet pan, so vigilance is key – as well dark coloured knickers! And it’s about to get more intense! 💙

Ten days until my scan. Never been a better time to ramp things up I guess!

On Wednesday I get paid and ordering essiac tea, the next weapon in my arsenal, as well as more supplements. Food and medicine is my world 🌍

I feel like I’m going into battle every day, and thankfully, I feel like I’m winning, but this isn’t a skirmish, it’s a war, it’s going to take time and I’m tired. Hopefully my energy levels will pick up soon 🩷
