This post might shock you. It might even disgust you, but life is too short to worry about what other people think – one of the most important things I’ve learned while navigating my way through the ups and downs of the rich tapestry of life.
I first came across the concept of ‘urotherapy’ when I was training to be an auricular acupuncturist when I was a drugs counsellor 20 years ago. My teacher was practicing it. Not only was he drinking his own pee, but was also washing his face with it. I was fascinated by this, to the point where I asked if I could sniff his face to see if it smelled of pee. It didn’t smell of anything.
Urine contains urea, which is used in lots of expensive skin creams, and has been used in healing for thousands of years. From around 12,000 AD!
It also contains stem cells, which can replace and repair damaged or diseased cells. Drinking pee boosts your immune system, helps flush toxins out of your body, as well as recylcling nutrients.
Urotherapy, or ‘shivambu’ as it was called in medieval times, can help heal lots of conditions, including cancer, so I thought in for a penny in for a pound, I’ve got nothing to lose, and it’s in my budget!! 😁
It’s not as vile as it’s sounds, you don’t have to drink all of it, just the first one of the day, and it’s supposed to help reverse the signs of aging, which is a welcome bonus!
I hope you are all enjoying the sunshine! 🌞
Sending good vibes and oodles of love your way 💖
