Using alternative treatments to treat DCIS

Morocco Rocks! 🇲🇦 – Blog Post 38 🌸

I’ve never been on holiday with my (fictional) wife before, despite being friends for over 15 years 🥰 Although it was the first, it most definitely won’t be the last!!

We started off our trip staying in a riad in the heart of the medina, which is an insane place, with its snake charmers, and dodgy berbers with their monkeys 🐍 🙊 🐍

We went for a sunset dinner in Agafay desert, with quad biking and camels 🐫 We both had our quad keys confiscated for going too fast and not staying in the line 🙄, and my wife got chatted up by a 23yr old tour guide! We’ve still got it! 😉

♥️ Me & my wife from Fife ♥️

Two days of the madness of Marrakesh was enough for us, so we travelled to Essaouria where we learned to surf 🏄‍♀️ and made some lovely friends 🥰

♥️ Khalid ♥️

Me and my daughter now both have a Khalid 😂 I met my mine on the beach. He is an English teacher and he showed us around Essaouria and took us to a real Moroccan restaurant, where you buy all the ingredients in the market on the way there, and they cook the tagine for you, and serve it with Moroccan tea. We fell in love with Essaouria 🥰

After four days of fun and beautiful breezes, we returned to the melting pot of Marrakesh as the wife was flying home. We had booked a room in a beautiful guest house, and we had the whole place to ourselves, with a fire pit on a massive sun terrace with a four poster bed and a private pool.

♥️ The Old House ♥️

Now being renamed Better Together, we were their first guests!

Victoria, the lovely new friend who I mentioned in my last blog post, jumped on a plane this and winged her way over.

♥️ Me & Victoria ♥️

Khalid and his friend drove three hours from Essaouria to see us. I didn’t expect a holiday romance! You just never know what’s round the corner! ❤️‍🔥

Victoria and I made the most of our remaining three days in the sun, before I returned to Scotland with my daughter Amillie, who had a tearful farewell with her husband, very sad to return to Edinburgh. It breaks her heart every time she leaves Khalid, but hopefully the next time she comes, he will be coming back to Scotland with her ♥️

If you’ve never been, you should definitely go, it’s amazing to experience a completely different culture. Morocco is an amazing place. It’s like stepping back in time in many ways. Life is much more simple and wholesome, people are much more relaxed and easy going. Not to mention the weather ☀️

The Canary Islands was always my go-to sunshine holiday, but not anymore. Morocco is hotter, cheaper and way more authentic. It’s not a holiday resort, it’s a cultural experience ♥️

How the other half live!

If you zoom in you will see a little man crouched in the left hand corner of this little shack, where he lives and sells whatever he can find to passers by.

A typical market stall

Peoples faces tell a million stories. Often toothless, but always smiling, the place is so alive and vibrant, with the streets full of people of all ages deep into the night.

Morocco has a special place in my heart, if you haven’t been, you should go! ♥️
