I’m happy to report that my new arsehole is fully installed and working perfectly 🤩
The operation went really well, and apart from feeling like the world was gonna fall out of my bumhole for a few days, it was nowhere near as gruesome as I’d feared.
Farting took on a whole new element of vulnerability, but I’m happy to say that has also now returned to normal.
They said I wouldn’t be able to walk my dogs for two weeks, but I was out and about after five days, if somewhat gingerly! 😆
And what’s more, I managed to fast for SIX DAYS!! Which is a small miracle, as I’ve struggled to manage 24hrs up until now. Being off my face on painkillers helped massively I think, and what I’d heard about not feeling hungry after three days was absolutely true. I’m considering another fast before my MRI, which is supposed to be happening at the end of the month, but waiting for my appointment to come through.
When I get my MRI results I will be able to compare my readings from April and August last year and then will be able to make an informed decision about where I go from here.
If it’s reduced significantly I am going to start another fundraiser so I can buy my own Spooky 2 👻 , and return the one Mick and Victoria have kindly lent me.
I’ve been convalescing down in Moffat with my folks since my operation, writing and walking dogs in the rain.
I had my first ever reflexology session on my birthday last week, which was blissful, as well as a Swedish massage, and my oldest friend is giving me reiki on Wednesday.
Self care is so important and something I’ve never prioritised in the past, but not anymore.
