Petra's Healing Journey

Using alternative treatments to treat DCIS

Technophobia – Post 2 🌸

So after my initial success in creating my first post, things started to get complicated. Not being able to find out how to add a Follow or Subscribe button was the first thing, and then realising I had duplicated my first post and couldn’t delete it, and when I finally managed to fix that, I managed to delete this post in the process. I was starting to pull my hair out!

I don’t know if any of you suffer from technophobia, it seems to be an affliction of my generation, (the millenials seemed to be programmed differently from birth!) It manifests itself as a ball of anxiety in my stomach, and makes me want to throw the device in question out of the nearest window, whether it’s open or not!

WordPress seems intent on me using their mobile app, which means typing on my phone. I have fat thumbs. It’s typo central! I will persevere and conquer it one way or another!

So here’s an update!

Hospital

I saw my consultant last week and it went really well. When I told her I wasn’t going ahead with surgery she said she wanted to refer me to a psychologist! I told her to go ahead, I’ve never felt more sane than I do now. My best friend is a clinical psychologist, and I’m pretty sure she would tell me if I’d flipped my lid!

I went on to explain my reasons. I told her about the turmoil I was in after agreeing to the surgery, and about my research, and about the peace I felt after deciding to treat it with alternative treatments, and she seemed to understand. She told me should would discuss it at a team meeting, and would hopefully be able to monitor my progress with a scan every 3 months to see if the tumour is shrinking. My next appointment is on 25th September. She said she would phone this week to confirm the scan. I had a call from her secretary yesterday inviting me to an appointment with another consultant next week. She couldn’t tell me what is what about. Maybe my consultant too chicken to tell me they said no to the scan and she’s getting someone else to do her dirty work! Time will tell!

Diet

The ketogenic diet I’m on seriously rocks! It’s very rich, lots of meat and fat, which I have to say I’m really enjoying, I love butter, and cream sauces! I’ve discovered the joys of an air fryer, which has revolutionised dinner time, I’ve been tucking into free range beef, chicken and duck, with lots of cauliflower and broccoli, which are great cancer fighting vegetables, covered in butter and cream sauce. So easy to make and absolutely delicious! I sprinkle toasted sesame seeds and cashews over the top, it’s really indulgent. I’m loving dinner time! So instead of my body burning carbs for energy, as I’m not eating any carbs at all, I’m burning fat instead. I’m also juicing green vegetables. I eat between 12-6pm and then fast for 18 hours.

Duck breast with buttery cauliflower and broccoli, with sweet potato chips and a creamy garlic sauce!

Because I haven’t eaten meat for years, I initially tried a raw diet, which is also popular for beating cancer, but it was playing havoc with my ‘IBS’, (I’ve put this in inverted commas, because I feel IBS is the diagnosis doctors give when they cant figure out what’s wrong with your digestive system!). When I asked my doctor to refer me to a gastroenterologist, he said, ‘they probably won’t see you, the waiting lists are so long, and unless it’s life threatening, you’ll be triaged to the bottom of the waiting list and probably just stay there’. Why is it we pay our taxes again??

Parasites

So, during my research, I found that many of the cancer cures that are working well for people involve parasite cleanses. Some people believe that parasites cause many of our illnesses, including cancer, and considering the success of the parasite targeting treatments, I think there may be a lot of truth in that.

Fenbendazole is one of those treatments, and the next step is to add in more similar parasite treatments, in order to target all the different kinds of parasites, in all stages of their development. This must be done gradually or it can make you feel ill. I’ve been taking fenben for two weeks now, with no adverse reactions, so I’m ready to add the next one, Ivermectin, which has now arrived from India. After that I will add Methylene Blue, and then Chlorine Dioxide. The supplements I need to take alongside these have arrived, thanks to all you lovely people donating to my fundraiser.

A week’s supply of medication!

Life goes on…

Apart from my diet and taking weird powders and lots of capsules, very little has changed in my life.

When I wake I meditate, and then I do 15 mins of yoga and 10 mins breathwork before I walk the dogs, Baby, & Baby’s baby, whose name is Twiglet (or Twiggy).

Out foraging for wild garlic!

I try and do walking meditations as well. Meditation has changed my life completely, I will post more about meditation, as I feel it is so incredibly important.

Then home for a brunch of eggs and avocado, or scrambled with foraged wild garlic and tomatoes. Or soup made from bone broth, which is incredibly nutritionally dense, and when you add sweet potato and coconut milk into the mix, and sprinkle it with roasted cashews, or chickpeas roasted in the air fryer, it’s also indulgent and delicious!

I try and mostly fail to fit in any writing for my book in the course of the day, it’s turning into something I do when I’m away from home, on holiday or visiting people, there just too many distractions at home and there never seems to be enough hours in the day. Housework, cooking and shopping are slotted in between work and dog walks. Dog walks keeps me in nature though which is important. I take my shoes off and wiggle my toes in the grass whenever possible, grounding is so important! I have a meditation tree in the woods about 15 minutes from my house and I go there with the dogs whenever possible. It has a low branch which makes a perfect seat!

Meditation Tree 🌸

I go to bed early to read, I’m currently reading The Power of Intention by Dr Wayne Dyer, which I can’t recommend highly enough. It’s one of those books that changes your life, like A New Earth (and The Power of Now), by Eckharte Tolle, Many Lives Many Masters, by Dr Brian Weiss, Your Soul’s Plan, by Robert Schwartz, Ask and it is Given, by Jerry and Esther Hicks (amongst others).

When I work out how to put links on my blog I will share stuff I think people might like to explore.

Thanks

I’d like to thank everyone again for making this treatment possible for me. Without your help, I would have had to just plod along just using fenbendazole, which may have worked on it’s own, but it would have taken years, and as my DCIS is high grade and fast growing, I really needed to hit it with everything I can. My fundraiser is allowing me to do that, so I just want you to know how grateful I am. It’s an exciting journey to be on, flying in the face of convention, (a rebel with a cause!), doing my bit towards forging an alternative path to healing DCIS, which is affecting women all over the world.

I hope this post finds you happy and healthy. I have to say I feel absolutely amazing. I’ve never felt healthier.

I will post again soon!

With love,
